I have become pretty cynical about mechanic shops, so it was very refreshing to work with this one. Richard Avery, who runs the shop, used to work for the Laramie Police Department and retired from there. He explains everything thoroughly so that you understand what the options are, including options that mean taking your vehicle elsewhere, and will discuss the pros and cons of the options. He tends to overestimate costs, so that the expected $150 to replace my muffler turned into a bill for just $100. Usually it is the other way around, at other shops! It's nice to talk with a man who treats a woman like she's got some brains, and explains what goes into his estimates and why, instead of the "you'll have to bring it in to the shop so we can look at it"-type of brush-off/patronizing. He'll have my business as long as he's there.
